Role of the technology applied to the company

The eleventh edition of the European Congress on Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Architecture and Urbanism (EESAP 11) and the fourth International Congress on Advanced Construction (CICA 4), address the topic of Disruption. Fundamentally, disruption is driven by innovation. However, it is usually not the result of the technology itself, but of the way it is applied. What is the perception of disruption in the field of architecture, engineering and the construction industry? How is the architecture and construction industry evolving and what other transformations are needed?

Maitane Hernández Iturbe, CEO of Weroi, will participate in the round table “The role of technology applied to the company”, on the first day of the Congress.

Attracting business through alternative channels at times when travelling is not possible

Have you had your sales trips cancelled for the next few weeks? Companies’ business activity does not have to be curtailed at this time. On the contrary, many companies are shifting their budget allocations for these trips to the digital channel. This may provide a good opportunity to develop specific business-digital actions in order to achieve short term results.

In this webinar we will analyse how the internet can be an alternative to traditional business activities, by analysing real cases of companies in the B2B environment (fine boilerwork, tube forming for the automotive industry, etc.), who have integrated digital business strategies into their traditional commercial transactions with very satisfactory outcomes in terms of results (qualified business opportunities generated > offers > orders)

Surya Romero, Business Development Manager at Gometegui, will share his experience in the introduction of the internet as an additional channel for attracting business opportunities in the industrial sector.

Leaders in Tech Bilbao

Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Blockchain and Cybersecurity: four technologies that are the basis of the digitisation and innovation processes that are transforming our economy and society. The technology industry is nowadays the main vehicle for the transmission of culture and knowledge, and the one that will trigger the most profound changes, laying the new foundations for digital demands and the scientific culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

What are the latest breakthroughs in the development of these technologies? What possibilities of use do they offer in the short and long term? What projects are being implemented on in the public and private sectors? How should organisations adapt to the opportunities offered by technology? What are the profiles that will be in demand in the organisations of the future?

The LEADERS IN TECH conference aims to answer these questions, giving voice to people and organisations that are leading the development and applications in the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Blockchain and Cybersecurity.

Not to mention that technology and business must go hand in hand to make a real impact. To this end, we will highlight examples of leadership in organisations in our ecosystem that are changing the Basque technology and business landscape, and that will share their vision on the challenges and opportunities of technology as an engine of development and innovation.

The event aims to make visible the talent 4.0 that contributes to the demand for digital, scientific and technological profiles that are key to Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation of the Basque economy.

Maitane Hernández, CEO of Weroi, will participate in the round table on digital transformation.

Tools that help us drive the business plan

The Internet has opened up enormous possibilities for the development of B2B business models and for business development and expansion. So much so that it is estimated that more than 25 % of global B2B retail will be conducted exclusively through digital channels by 2020. This does not mean that metal profiles (for example) will be sold in a digital shopping cart; that will take time. The key is to understand how the Internet, due to its capillarity and speed, can help to uncover leads, both in domestic and export markets, that otherwise would have been difficult, if not impossible, to attract through the traditional sales department. In this conference, we will see real cases of companies in the B2B field (machine tool, fine boilerwork, construction, etc.), which have integrated digital business strategies in their traditional commercial transactions with very satisfactory results: new qualified business opportunities, offers and sales.
